NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Galveston County Health District Animal Services Local Regulations and Rabies Control
(Animal Services Policy)
Notice is hereby given that the United Board of Health of the Galveston County Health District will conduct a public hearing on April 24, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room A-106 at the offices of the Galveston County Health District located at 9850-A Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, Texas City, Texas for the purpose of the first reading and consideration of the adoption of an amendment to the Galveston County Health District policy/order Animal Services Local Regulations and Rabies Control. Revisions made to the policy include the change in time frame for the Dangerous Dog appeal from 10 days to 15 days. Also included are changes in the text of the policy/order to clarify its contents. The policy applies to unincorporated areas of Galveston County and the following cities under contract the City of Bayou Vista, Hitchcock, Kemah, La Marque, Texas City, and Tiki Island.
