On March 2, I was on a ladder about 14 feet up when it slipped. I fell to the ground and fractured my left ankle. My stepdaughter heard the crash and quickly came to comfort me while my wife called 911.

Galveston EMS and Fire Station No. 5 arrived within minutes, stabilized me and transported me to the University of Texas Medical Branch emergency room.

Accidents will happen and, if I am in another one, I hope to have the following professional and courteous emergency staff to care for me.
