Health district hosts annual Kids Health Fest

To accommodate the back-to-school rush for children immunizations, the Galveston County Health District will host the fourth annual Kids Health Fest on Monday through Aug. 18.

Schools require that children be properly immunized before they are admitted for the new school year, so the district would like to remind parents to include updated vaccinations in their school year preparations.

Vaccinations will be offered at two local district offices. The first is at 1207 Oak St. in La Marque from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Immunization clinic operations in Texas City and Dickinson will be relocated to La Marque during the event. The second location is 4700 Broadway in Galveston. This clinic is open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
