Animal Control Will Respond To Calls For Help
As published in the
Galveston Daily News
01/22/05To the Editor:
On Jan. 6, The Daily News published
my letter to the county commissioners regarding weekend and
holiday response by animal control to complaints of stray
dogs.
I met with the animal services manager and the director of
environmental health, and I am satisfied their efforts to
respond to complaints of stray animals is a round-the-clock,
seven-day effort.
Complaints of stray animals should be directed to the animal
control at (409) 948-2485 Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m.
to 5 p.m.
During all other times, the public can call local law enforcement
agencies to report strays or other animal problems. These
agencies will be able to contact an on-call animal control
agent.
