| The Galveston County Health District’s
Air & Water Pollution Services Division seeks to prevent
pollution of the air, water, and land of Galveston County.
The Air & Water Pollution Services Division is divided
into two sections.
The Air
Pollution Division enforces the state and federal air
regulations under contract
to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
The Water Pollution
Division serves as the water pollution control and abatement
agent for many of the cities of Galveston County and for the
County itself.
Additionally, the Air & Water Pollution
Services Division participates in numerous community outreach
and emergency planning organizations.
