Our Vision
To provide the residents and visitors
to Galveston Island
a safe and fun place to Live, Work and
Play.
This is providing the best possible health care to everyone.
Our Mission
To provide education to all about Health
and Safety issues.
To provide education to the children of Galveston County
on bike safety and the rules of bicycle riding.

The
Galveston Emergency Medical Service (GEMS)
Bike Team was started in February
2002 just before the annual Mardi Gras Festival.
The team was a much-needed
asset to the service in our ongoing effort to care for the
residents and visitors to the
island. Festivals such as Mardi Gras, Beach Party weekend
and the Lone Star Bike Rally Galveston hosts annually tend to
have large attendances, and the Bike Team can respond much
quicker to emergency situations under these conditions.
Team members are always ready to go into the
community to teach awareness and safety to the children of Galveston.
If
you would like us to teach Bike Safety at your school,
