Mission Statement - To promote environmental stewardship in Galveston County through cooperative efforts of the Environmental Coalition by identifying, informing and educating the general public on all known environmental issues specific to Galveston County; and to act as the clearinghouse for environmental information.
The Coalition through its steering committee is currently drafting goals and objectives for review and approval. The proposed goals and objectives include the following: draft the “Galveston County Natural Resource Guide” and distribute the guide utilizing several media outlets; Create an environmental information clearinghouse; form a public outreach program and a speaker’s bureau; and, create an environmental roadmap of Galveston County for the future.
