Summer Safety for your pet
Animals need special attention during the hot summer months.
 |
Always carry water for your pet if you go for walks or travel.
Remember, your pet doesn't have shoes, so beware of scorching asphalt when out
strolling. |
 |
Never leave your animal in a close-up car as temperatures can rapidly
reach over 100 degrees. |
 |
Keep tags on your pet for easy identification, should the animal
escape.
|
 |
Fireworks: Many animals end up in Animal Control facilities as
the result of fireworks and loud noises. Remember to keep your pet in a
comfortable place, away from windows and doors. Mask the sounds of
fireworks and gunshots with music or t.v. Talk with your vet about the
pros and cons of sedatives to help keep your pet calm. |
